Grafana 10 Released: Correlations and a GA Canvas Panel
Grafana 10 previewed Correlations for linking any data source to any other in Explore, promoted the Canvas panel to general availability, and previewed subfolders and the Scenes library.

What happened
Grafana 10.0.0 was released on June 12, 2023, according to the official GitHub release. The update focused on search and navigation, dashboards and visualizations, and security and authentication, marking a major version milestone for the observability platform.
Correlations
A headline preview feature was Correlations, an extension of the existing data-links functionality that lets users link from any data source to any other. Once relationships between data sources are defined, a user in Explore can click a button next to a related field in one data source and Grafana runs the corresponding query in another, enabling seamless jumps across data sources during investigation.
Dashboards and visualizations
Grafana 10 promoted the Canvas panel to general availability after months of enhancements such as drawing connections between elements and data-driven colors, and introduced experimental Trend and Datagrid panels. It added time-region support and annotation filtering to the Time series panel, simplified data-source selection, and previewed both subfolders for organising dashboards and the new Scenes front-end library.
Explore, security and auth
The release made querying multiple data sources simultaneously in Explore generally available via a Mixed data source, redesigned the log context experience, and added experimental Trusted Types support to reduce XSS risk. It also let administrators configure SAML through a new UI without restarting Grafana, and made usernames and email addresses case-insensitive.
